Design Build Brownfield Redevelopment
Confidential Pharmaceutical Client, Stamford, CT
Working with multiple stakeholders, including the City of Stamford, a private developer, and the pharmaceutical company, Woodard & Curran provided Construction Management services for the redevelopment of a waterfront brownfield. Design Build Wastewater Treatment System
Proctor & Gamble, IA
After receiving an unexpectedly high bid for design and construction of a .2MGD wastewater treatment system, long-term client Proctor & Gamble asked Woodard & Curran for a proposal. Using a design/build approach, Woodard & Curran teamed up with Iowa-based contractor Wendler Construction to propose a considerably more efficient treatment design that would accomplish Proctor & Gambles goals and cost 25% less to implement than the previous bid. The project was designed and constructed on a fast-track schedule, and resulted in substantially reduced wastewater disposal costs.
Design Build Bottling Plant Development
Major Confidential Beverage Manufacturer
For this a Fortune 50 beverage client, Woodard & Curran managed two design/build projects to increase bottling capacity at major production facilities. The project included four distinct phases: equipment procurement, engineering design, construction, and commissioning. Woodard & Curran managed the overall schedule from preliminary design and permitting through construction and commissioning, yielding two plants operating at some of the highest levels of efficiency in the industry.
Design Build Athletic Field Development
Stamford, CT
The design/build team of DeRosa Tennis Contractors and Woodard & Curran is conducting state-of-the-art athletic facility development at multiple sites in Stamford, CT. At the Westhill High School, the design/build approach yielded a tight schedule that allowed school operations to continue uninterrupted despite challenging site constraints. Other sites face environmental challenges, and the design/build partnership allows solutions to be woven in to the construction process.
