Practice Leader Elected to NEWWA Board of Directors

Robert Little, P.E., Woodard & Curran’s National Drinking Water Practice Leader, was recently elected to serve as one of the Massachusetts State Directors on the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) Board of Directors. Election results were announced during NEWWA’s Membership Recognition Gala on Thursday, September 9, 2021. 

Since 1994, Little has dedicated his career to the drinking water industry. He joined Woodard & Curran in 2003 as a project engineer, assuming the role of Drinking Water Service Line Manager in 2009 and entering his current role in 2018. Throughout his career, Little has been an active member in NEWWA, American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Massachusetts state chapter. 

“I have strived to work in a collaborative way, working hard to build the relationships and develop the solutions for public water suppliers and other entities that make this business such a rewarding experience. I will bring this philosophy with me as I represent the regional water supply industry on the NEWWA Board,” Little wrote in his bid for the Massachusetts State Director seat on the NEWWA Board of Directors, adding, “I pledge to pour my energy and enthusiasm into my leadership position with the goal and vision of advancing NEWWA, growing its membership, leveraging opportunities for innovation, and improvement the overall member experience.”

Established in 1882, NEWWA is the region’s largest non-profit member organization for those working or interested in the drinking water profession. NEWWA also serves as the local New England section of the American Water Works Association. The association unites water utilities, consultants, manufacturers, vendors, regulators, academia, and other interested parties to network, educate, and advocate for safe, quality drinking water.
