John Kitchin, PMP, DBIA

Business Unit Leader
Woodard & Curran Constructors

John has over two decades of experience in construction management where he has spent his career managing critical, high profile projects for clients in the municipal and corporate arenas. His experience includes planning, estimating, scheduling and managing complex projects and project teams in the industrial, manufacturing, municipal and aviation markets. As a former United States Marine with Project Management Professional (PMP) and Designated Design-Build Professional (DBIA) accreditations, John delivers an aggressive, yet methodical approach to managing construction teams and individual projects. John also serves on the Board of Directors for the Southeast Region of the Design-Build Institute of America and is an instructor in the School of Building Construction at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

From the Marine Corps to Woodard & Curran, I have always thrived on tackling challenges and solving problems. The more complex, the better, which is why so much of my construction career has revolved around improvements and expansions at operational facilities. Finding the best path to project success while minimizing impacts to our client’s facilities and operations is what motivates me to come to work every day. The icing on the cake is that here at Woodard & Curran, my efforts support projects that address environmental concerns across the country.
