PFAS Experts Webinar: USEPA’s Health Advisory Levels Explained - What, Why, and When

On June 15, 2022, USEPA released updated interim health advisory levels (HALs) for PFOA and PFOS and final HALs for PFBS and GenX. In particular, the sub-part per trillion levels for PFOA and PFOS resulted in considerable concern related to what this will mean to responsible parties. The PFAS Experts Symposium organizers and the Remediation Journal are hosting a free webinar to help the remediation community understand what the HALs may mean to their organizations.

The webinar will be a 1-hour science-based overview with the goal of interpreting what these recent HALs may mean and inform those who may be impacted by this recent development. The webinar topics include updates on how and why the EPA developed the HALs, including the underlying toxicology; what the HALs may mean in the context of drinking water and remediation goals; impacts of chemistry and analytics; and how the HALs may affect remediation technologies. Q&A will follow the presentation.
