Woodard & Curran Announces Promotions and a New Addition to Environment and Remediation Group

Portland, Maine - Dr. Dan Bryant has been promoted to Director of Practices for Woodard & Curran’s Environmental Remediation Services group. Dr. Bryant joined Woodard & Curran in May 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in the environmental industry, with special expertise in design and management of complex remediation projects including in-situ chemical and bioremediation remedies, organic and inorganic geochemistry, hydrogeology, and site characterization. Dan's experience crosses the spectrum of geologic conditions ranging from saturated bedrock to unsaturated shallow soil, and of contaminants including chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, explosives, PAHs, and metals. His experience includes some of the largest in-situ remedies completed to date.

In this leadership position, Bryant will be responsible for strategic direction of the firm’s Environmental Remediation practices and will work within this scope to expand Woodard & Curran’s national presence and depth of technical expertise across its national footprint. Dan will continue to provide strategic technical advice for our largest and most complex remediation projects nationwide.

Cathy Rockwell, PE has been promoted to Practice Lead for Environmental Remediation and a Sr. Technical Manager. Cathy joined Woodard & Curran in 2002 and is a leader in environmental remediation engineering and delivery. She has been the lead engineer managing numerous large, multi-phase projects with combined remedies and provides remediation technical support for several of our complex remediation sites. In her new role, Cathy will responsible for leading the Environmental Remediation Engineering Practice Technical Team and providing technical direction for our large remediation efforts.

Dr. Greg Booth has joined Woodard & Curran as In-Situ Remediation Practice Leader in the firm’s Environmental Remediation Services group. He is an environmental biogeochemist with more than 20 years of professional experience in applied research and consulting in the fields of coastal and environmental biogeochemistry, in-situ soil and groundwater remediation and environmental remediation technology development and commercialization. 

Dr. Booth will serve in an advisory capacity to project managers tackling complex soil, groundwater and sediment endeavors. His expertise will provide guidance in remedial approach selection and in-situ technology options, enhancing the firm’s efforts to deliver innovative, scientifically sound, cost-effective remedial solutions to our clients.
