Woodard & Curran Welcomes New Emerging Contaminants Practice Leader

Woodard & Curran is pleased to announce the addition of Jeffrey Hale, PG, as Practice Leader of our innovative and growing Emerging Contaminants group. Jeff will lead consultation, strategy, and direction for challenging environmental and natural resources issues across national markets with emphasis on PFAS and other emerging contaminants.

Jeff focuses on delivering multidisciplinary solutions to clients across industry sectors, integrating stakeholder interests, insight, advocacy, and technology. His core expertise includes contaminant hydrogeology, fate and transport, and fractured bedrock characterization. He is a thought leader for emerging environmental issues, having served on expert panels and chaired multiple working groups on environmental issues ranging from hydraulic fracturing to emerging contaminants. He has been active with the National Ground Water Association’s PFAS initiatives, serves as a section leader for the Interstate Technology and Regulatory Council PFAS team, and was selected by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry to serve on an expert PFAS panel in support of a national health study.

Jeff comes to us from Parsons Corporation, where he served as Director of Emerging Environmental Issues, and previously served in technical leadership roles at Kleinfelder. He has also provided litigation support and expert services for a variety of cases involving environmental contamination. His numerous presentations include guidance around emerging contaminants, characterization, and remediation. Jeff also served as an adjunct professor at Pittsburgh’s Point Park University, teaching Economics and the Environment from 2010 to 2013.
