Driving economic, environmental, and social impact

As the challenges that face our people, our clients, and our communities change, we change to meet them by working in new ways, integrating new understanding into our approaches, and planning, designing, and building for a sustainable future.

In 2017, we published our first formal Corporate Social Responsibility report sharing our sustainability policy, baseline metrics, current and planned efforts, and 2020 and 2025 goals. Since then we’ve undertaken initiatives to improve upon our environmental, social and economic performance and reporting and have plans to continue this work.  As we reflect on these goals we’re offering more stories that provide insight into the work we’ve done and how that translates into the key metrics we’ve tracked.  The pages below provide these stories and 2020 measurement updates on the key components within our Corporate Social Responsibility reporting structure.  This transitional year also offers an opportunity to redefine our material issues; after our refreshed strategic planning and visioning efforts we’ll be reevaluating the key sustainability metrics that we report on based on their relative impact to us and our key stakeholders.
