For more than 25 years, Woodard & Curran has offered contract operations and management services for drinking water, municipal and industrial wastewater, groundwater remediation, and solid waste facilities nationwide. Currently we contract operate more than 85 facilities nationwide. Woodard & Curran draws on the experience of hundreds of certified operators across the country, backed by the knowledge and skills of hundreds more engineers, scientists, and regulatory experts, to quickly tackle the most challenging operational issues and keep treatment plants running efficiently and in full compliance.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are growing! Due to this growth, we have an immediate opening for an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Specialist to help support our water and wastewater treatment operations in the state of Florida, with occasional travel in other regions of the eastern coast of the United States. In this role, you will support operations through project transitions, providing technical support, backfilling management positions, provide assistance for process control or trouble shooting activities, working with various software technologies, and potentially perform day to day operations. This position comes with a company-provided vehicle, paid travel time, and straight overtime pay for hours worked over 40/week!   • What You Will Be Doing at Woodard & Curran:

  • Work with Area Managers and Project Managers to support project demands.
  • Provide technical support and training onsite to implement the Asset Management Program.
  • Utilize W&C technical platforms for data collection: Utility Cloud Hach WIMS, Do Forms, Power BI, etc.
  • Provide operations and maintenance support at water and/or wastewater treatment facilities.

  • Travel Requirement:

  • This position will be supporting operations primarily in Florida, with occasional travel on the East Coast of the United States. You will be required to travel a minimum of 75% of the year with much of this travel being regionally-focused in Florida.

  • What will you need to succeed?

  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments including inclement weather.
  • Solid water and wastewater background which may include certifications and licenses.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Experience with utility technology software including Hach’s Water Information Management System (Hach WIMS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the water and wastewater industry to include equipment, controls, and process.
  • May be required to wear a respirator.
  • Willingness to travel to support assigned projects and assist with emergency event repair and recovery efforts.

    Project Specific Pay Range: $30-$43 / hour at Straight Time Overtime. Pay is commensurate on experience and licenses held.

    Salaried, Exempt – Straight Time Overtime – Positions in this category are eligible to receive straight time overtime for certain hours worked over the employee’s standard work week.
