Woodard & Curran Rises through the Ranks of Top Engineering Firms

Published: 5/12/2015

Continuing a strong trend, Woodard & Curran has once again moved higher on the list of top engineering firms in North America, ranking 74th on the current list, up 10 spots from last year. The firm outpaced industry growth with a revenue increase of 16% from 2013 to 2014. The annual ranking is compiled by industry observer Engineering News-Record.

As part of the firm’s strategic plan, Woodard & Curran has been expanding its national footprint, increasing its presence in the Northeast; Midwest, with a new St. Louis office; and the western United States, through the acquisition of a firm with offices in Montana and Wyoming. “The growth we achieved in revenue and profitability would have been significant any year, but we accomplished it during a year of major reorganization,” said Chief Executive Officer Doug McKeown. “This type of recognition is especially welcome in that we’ve been able to stand out within our industry and maintain our dedication to the culture and values that set Woodard & Curran apart.”

In addition to rising in the overall ranking, Woodard & Curran rose to 50th on the list of “Pure Design” firms, which rates firms after removing revenue derived from construction activities. The firm also ranked among the top 20 in the manufacturing category.
