Woodard & Curran is proud to announce four new partnerships with municipalities across the United States to operate and manage their critical water and wastewater infrastructure. With these four communities, Jewett City, Connecticut; Lisbon, Maine; Adelanto, California; and Clewiston, Florida, Woodard & Curran now operates over ninety clean water facilities nationwide, safeguarding water quality and delivering trusted operations services every day.
Collectively, these new partnerships include four treatment facilities; extensive collection and distribution systems; dozens of tanks, pumps, and lift stations; and other essential water infrastructure. These systems serve more than 65,000 thousand residents and businesses and support the health, wellbeing, and economic vitality of their communities.
Woodard & Curran will begin onboarding the existing staff from each community, augmenting with other professionals as needed. The firm will also implement its award-winning safety program and review standard operating procedures to uncover potential efficiency improvements and cost saving opportunities. All the relevant infrastructure assets will be integrated into an advanced computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to shift towards a proactive and predictive maintenance approach and the firm’s supervisory controls and data acquisition (SCADA) team will take on management of the facilities’ automation and controls systems.
“With Woodard & Curran, these communities gained a trusted, long-term partner dedicated to providing safe, reliable, compliant, and sustainable utility services,” said Jay Sheehan, National Business Development Leader for Operations & Management. “This commitment is shared by the local community leaders who can now focus on serving their residents, confident that their utilities are professionally managed. The staff at the facilities have been supporting their communities with diligence and pride, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the Woodard & Curran family.”
