NEWEA Residuals & Microconstituents Specialty Conference

NEWEA Residuals & Microconstituents Specialty Conference

NEWEA's Residuals & Microconstituents conference this year focuses on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl compounds and their impacts on water resources and utilities. The day will explore the fate and transport of PFAS, analytical and treatment challenges, emerging federal and state regulations, wastewater treatment and biosolids application, and public education and outreach around PFAS and other microconstituents. With an evolving scientific understanding of PFAS health effects and an absence of federal regulations, public utilities are left to understand and manage the presence of PFAS in the environment.

Join Woodard & Curran experts Ted Toskos and Lisa Campe, MPH, LSP along with colleagues from utilities, agencies, practitioners, and research organizations to cut through the fear and look at the science behind these infamous compounds.

Toskos will present on "Regulatory, Technical and Communication Challenges for Licensed Environmental Remediation Professionals" at 3:00 and Campe will give a presentation called "Separating PFAS from PFiction" at 3:30.
