To expand production, this Fortune 500 beverage manufacturer needed new, state-of-the-art bottling lines at facilities in two different states. They chose a design-build approach and hired Woodard & Curran to lead the projects. Both lines were up and running at 95% efficiency within the client’s accelerated timeline.
From blow-molding, to filling and labeling, all the way through palletizing, the new processes relied on advanced technology available to meet the client’s capacity and efficiency goals. We wrote specifications and managed the procurement process for $20 million in packaging equipment from the best-in-class vendors and designed a system that worked seamlessly and relied on a sophisticated network of controls.
Each line was designed for a maximum capacity of 1200 bottles per minute. By the end of the project, we had also completely overhauled the utility systems at one plant and found a way to remedy severe maintenance issues with the high pressure compressor systems and cooling tower systems at the other facility.
