Woodard & Curran’s Senior Principals voted to confirm the selection of several members of its Board of Directors. Jay Sheehan returns for another term as an internal Director, while both Jeanna Long and Lucas Hellerich join the Board as first-time internal Directors. David Sweeney was selected to serve a further term as an external Director. Long and Hellerich are replacing Joe Barbagallo, who is term limited and Peter Nangeroni, who is retiring. The elected Directors’ terms begin at the firm’s August Board meeting.
Sheehan is National Business Development Leader for Woodard & Curran’s Operations & Management business. In this role, he works with clients to create partnerships that deliver exceptional asset performance and protect the health of their residents and the environment. He has over 30 years of utility management and water resource engineering experience working on all aspects of water resources including water, wastewater, stormwater and civil engineering and has been with the firm for 28 years.
Jeanna Long is National Digital Innovation Leader, applying expertise in user-centric web design, visualization, advanced data analysis, and software development to create and lead innovative, cutting-edge digital projects for our clients. She has nearly 20 years of experience managing complex projects that include leveraging technology to streamline and support workflows, business processes, decision-making, transparency, and communication.
Luke Hellerich is National Technical Leader in the firm’s Remediation Practice. He helps clients implement cost-effective and efficient site-closure remediation strategies. Luke develops environmental investigation, remediation, and operations and maintenance approaches, specializing in the application of in-situ remediation technologies and groundwater and soil remediation of complex sites.
David Sweeney is the current CEO and President of RS&H, a national architecture, engineering, and consulting firm focused on aviation, aerospace, defense, financial, healthcare, science, and transportation sectors. With his experience with a similar employee-owned business model, board governance, and leadership, he provides strategic oversight, planning, and help in positioning Woodard & Curran for the future.
These leaders will serve on a Board of Directors that also includes internal Directors Sue Guswa, Peter Martin, and Alyson Watson (Chair), as well as external Directors Reyad Fezzani and Patricia Taylor-Woodyard.
